Football squares fundraiser
Sell squares, give part of the pot to your cause, and pay the rest out as prizes. The board opens with a $10 square and a 30% share already set; change anything.
How the money works
Say squares cost $10 and all 100 sell. The pot is $1,000. If 30% goes to your cause, $300 is raised and $700 is left for prizes: with the 25 / 25 / 25 / 25 split that is $175 for each quarter. With a bigger final prize, 20 / 20 / 20 / 40, it is $140, $140, $140 and $280.
The calculator under “5. Payouts” does this for any price and split and always adds up to the cent. A 50/50 pool is the same idea with the cause share set to 50%.

Running it well
Collect payment before you write a name in a square, post the cause and the prize split where everyone can see them, and tell people the draw code before the game. Check local rules: in some places, pools and prize drawings for money need a permit even for a good cause.

How much should a square cost?
Pick a price that suits your group: $5 and $10 are common for offices and clubs, $20 or more for a large fundraiser. A 100-square board at $10 makes a $1,000 pot.
What share should go to the cause?
Many groups give between 30% and 50%. Keep enough in prizes that winning still feels worth it: the prizes are what make people buy more than one square.
Is it allowed?
Rules about pools run for money differ by place. Check with your local authority, school or employer before you sell squares.
Can I print a sign-up sheet?
Yes, with the Fundraiser Board: a numbered sheet with a name line and a “paid” box per square, two columns per page.
Does the site take the money?
No. You collect payment yourself, in cash or however your group prefers. This site only builds the board and the sheets.
Is the generator free?
